In Assam elections, Congress ruled out possibility of any pre-poll alliance with any party and said will contest the forthcoming Assembly elections on their own.
No alliance has been formed between the two parties to gain votes in the name of Congress’ goodwill as per President Anjan Dutta.
According to President Anjan Dutta , All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) was spreading rumors that an alliance has been formed between the two parties to gain votes in the name of Congress’ goodwill.
He also said that his party will contest in all 126 seats and will be acquiring 70 seats .There is no way that they will be contesting for the polls on their own.
President AnjanDutta also that AIUDF will not get even eight seats in the upcoming elections. Chief Badruddin Ajmal is spreading lies about the alliance and wants to gain votes in the name of Congress and they won’t leverage on our goodwill.
“We don’t need any post elections alliance,” Mr Dutta replied when asked about the post elections alliance.
But, if there is a need and if there is a change in the principle and ideology (of AIUDF), then we will see at that time, he added.
To defeat the communal parties like BJP, party was open to have an understanding with the non-communal parties President Anjan Dutta said.
