For Fourth time, Gogoi files nomination from Titabor Assam.

Tarun Gogoi, Chief Minister Assam from Titabor Assembly constituency filed the nomination papers for the 4th time and is looking for election again for the fourth time, last date for filling the nomination is 4th of April.

In Rajiv Gandhi playground, Gogoi (he was accompanied by his wife, Dolly Gogoi) had addressed workers from the party before going for the road show on his way to the office to file papers for nomination in the office of Titabor Sub-divisional Officer.

Gogoi told the reporters outside the office of SDO that he is “overwhelmed” by the good wishes, blessings and love given by the people of Titabor and has been “inspired anew to serve them with renewed vigour”.

“People from all walks of life– young and old and particularly women have come out in such large number to bless me and I am very touched with their response,” he said.

He further added that in Titabor very few people are of his age are still there and most of them are his “son’s and brother’s contemporaries” these people faith had made him very much confident for his party prospects for the results of polls.

For the people of his constituency, he is very thankful, especially women who turned out in large numbers in order to ensure that Titabor’s care will be taken care of while he should too concentrate on the other parts too.

For the “young contestant” Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, whose Gogoi’s opponent from Bhartiya Janta Party,he gives his best wishes.

Lok Sabha constituency MP ,from Jorhat for the first time, Mr Tasa also had filed nomination and Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP’s chief ministerial candidate and Union Minister accompanied him.

“Asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled campaigning in the state next week, the Chief Minister said that it shows that the state BJP leaders are not capable enough and the Prime Minister has to come to help them out.”

Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, former 2 time Chief Minister AGP from Baharampur, Brindaban Goswami former President AGP, Prodyut Bordoloi from Margherita and Pranati Phukan from Naharkatiya former Congress ministers are among the candidates had filed nominations.

A close examination will be done for the withdrawal the last date is 21st of March and out of 126 Assembly for 65 seats that will go for polls on the April 4th.
