Sarbananda Sonowal, Assam’s BJP leader requested Tarun Gogoi, former Chief Minister of Assam to take part in Sonowal’s swearing ceremony which is going to take place on May 24 in Guwahati.
In Koinadhara, Sonowal visited Gogoi’s offical residence and invited him to the oath-taking function which is going to be held at Khanapara field. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, are expected to attend the ceremony.
Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement that Sonowal also requested for Gogoi’s advice, goodwill and blessings.

Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said tha Gogoi accepted Sonowal’s invitation and added that he will attend the swearing-in ceremony and also gave good wishes to Sonowal.
In Assam, Sonowal was unanimously elected as BJP Legislature Party leader “making the way for becoming the next Chief minister.”
In Raj Bhavan, he also attended a delegation of BJP, AGP and BPF members in order to form the next government in Assam. BJP-led alliance was invited by the governor in order to form the next government in the state.
