Voting for first phase begins in Assam And Bengal

In Bengal, for 18 constituencies and in Assam for 65 constituencies had started today. In Assam majorly in upper part of the Assam, for Bharatiya Janata Party the first phase of elections is very important as this area is highly populated with majority  of Hindu and has second highest population of Muslims in India.

In West Bengal,constituencies  mostly is affected by Naxalite violence that are known as the Jangalmahal areas. Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister from Majuli will contest for Bhartiya Janta Party.

From Titabor, Congress chief minister Tarun Gogoi, who has won thrice is now going to contest for the fourth time. Sonowal is the chief ministeral candidate for Bhartiya Janta Party.Gogoi  is cheif ministeral candidate for Congress.

In elections of 2014 in Lok Sabha, Bhartiya Janta Party had won 7 Parliamentary constituencies. On Monday 4 of these constituencies will be voting and it is very important for Bhartiya Janta Party to win the first phase of elections.Voting for Bankura,Purulia  and Pashchim Medinipur will be on Monday.

In order to to drive away the Maoists many Security operations will be taking place.Mamata Banerjee,Chief Minister of West Bengal even had “leveraged “ on in returning the milltants in the region where she will be campaigning. 

Last week, she said Jangalmahal would be on fire if the Opposition came to power. “Remember, if you allow them to come back to power, Jangalmahal will again be on fire. There will again be blood-letting. Jangalmahal will see unrest,” Banerjee had said at an election rally in Silda, Paschim Medinipur district.

Across areas of Paschim Medinipur,Purulia and Bankura ;Jangalmahal is a stretch of forest that is continous .

Attacking the newly developed closeness of Congress and  Left Front,Mamata Banerjee said

“They have become great friends now. The Congress has sold its Tricolour to the CPI(M). The CPI(M) has sold its red flag to the Congress,”

Rahul Gandhi, Congress Vice-President  said that in Bengal if the Congress  and the Left Front got enough number of votes,they both will be helping each other in forming the government in West Bengal.

In Assam and Bengal both will be having high level and exceptional level of security for the elections.

In Kolkata,Surjya Kant Mishra, CPI(M) leader in a conference before the ending of the campaiging said that In order to defeat Trinamul.

“Junglemahal is prepared to defeat Trinamul. This will set the tone for people to inflict a crushing blow to the ruling party in the remaining election phases. I urge the people to transform this election into a festival by coming out and voting”

On May 19, result day chief minister will be becoming into ex-chief minister.

The Chief minister has “unnerved” the huge support at the meetings in election.He further added that he requests men to gurard the booths and if there is any wrong practice,resitance must be put up. They will win,should be kept in mind and leave “stone unturned.”
