Congress-CPI(M) alliance must be defeated in Bengal : Mamata Banerjee

In Bengal,the alliance of Congress-CPI(M) was termed as “Unholy” by Mamata Banerjee, Cheif Minister of West Bengal and” asked people to defeat it in the upcoming Assembly election as it has no ‘ideology’.

The CPI(M) and Congress alliance is an unholy one”. Do not cast a single vote for the alliance and let the alliance lose. “Reject such an unholy alliance which doesn’t have any ideology” ,said by Mamata Banerjee in district of Purulia during campaigning.

Bhartiya Janta Party, Congress,Left were challenged by Mamata Banerjee to fight her politically not by “slandering her party”.

Stating that her government has undertaken developmental work in the district to improve the lives of the people, Ms Banerjee claimed, “We have restored peace in the areas which were troubled by Left-Wing Extremism earlier.”

In the area of Jangalmahal (tribal areas of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia districts) that witnessed blood shed and killings everyday when Left government was the ruling party.That days are now in the past and in the entire area there is peace said by Mamata Banerjee.

Before 2011, in Jangalmahal train were not used to run at night and people used to live in fear but now to shoot their movies filmmakers from all over the country are coming to Jangalmahal.

Jangalmahal, she claimed, has made huge strides in development of infrastructure and social sectors which has reinforced the faith of the people in her. “This has been possible because of the cooperation and resilience of the people that peace has returned to the region.”

In the area, the former government did not pay any attention to work of development nand it underwent a huge work of development and in the entire Jangalmahal peace was restored. In Purulia district, Manbazar and Jhalda are the 2 sub-divisions that are developed.

Listing out a series of development work, which were either completed or are undergoing, Ms Banerjee said “Peace and development were our priority and we have done this for the welfare of people in the area.”

Mamata Banerjee,in the district of Bandwan and Balarampur is set to lead “a procession at Purulia town” besides is scheduled to attend rallies.
