Election Commission to file case against Locket Chatterjee

First Information Report to be filed  against actor-turned-politician and BJP leader Locket Chatterjee because in West Bengal’s  Birbhum district , he had threatened the presiding officer of a booth.

Dibyendu Sarkar, Additional Chief Electoral Officer said that a case is being initiated against her of being disrespectful to a public servant and preventing him from offering his services.

He added that on the complain of the presiding officer, the case will be filed.

On April 17, voting was held in the phase second, Locket Chatterjee in Mayureswar,  in her constituency had threatened the presiding officer of a booth and said that he had allowed false voting.

She had asked the workers of the party to record on their cell phones to record the confrontation.

Against Anubrata Mondal, in Birbhum district , 2 FIRs against Trinamool strongman have been filed by the poll panel as he ventured out his constituency despite been given warning and went to cast his vote wearing TMC’S election symbol on his kurta.
