By fielding Sreesanth BJP has already acknowledged its defeat on Trivandrum seat

Choosing former Indian cricketer S .Sreesanth  for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections by Bhartiya Janta Party from Thiruvananthapura.Congress leader Shashi Tharoor expressed his amusment and said that Bhartiya Janta Party had already declared their defeat and “given up”.

“I think this is quite amusing because it suggests that the BJP has already given up any hope of that seat” said by Tharoor

He further added that Thiruvanathapuram is where an educated electorate you can have.For candidates like celebrity,actors and sportsmen,Kerala not been a very “hospitable ground”. For a place like Central Trivandrum which is a constituency, a lot of  bureaucrats,government officials and educated people are there.

V.S. Sivakumar,Health Minister of state and Congress Leader, Sreesanth will be contesting against him.He added that Health Sector is one of the greatest sucesses of the Congress in Kerala.

“I think he has not a hope and clearly by not putting up a more credible candidate, the BJP is essentially saying ‘we give up the seat to Congress’ and obviously, that’s good news for us!” he said.

 Development is needed in Kerala and he requested the youth to long for a change in Kerala said by Tharoor while speaking to ANI earlier.

“The states ruled by BJP are doing well. BJP has been very supportive towards me also.There hasn’t been much change in Kerala. There has been development but not huge development, youngsters should come forward and start a change,” he said.

In presence of  J P Nadda,Union Health Minister and Srikant Sharma, senior BJP leader, Sreesanth was inducted in their presence. Tamilisai Soundararajan Chief, BJP Tamil Nadu and Kummanam Rajasekharan BJP leader on the occasion was also present.

CPM-led LDF governments or Congress-led UDF government ,Bhartiya Janta Party would be making inroads is a state which was “ predominantly ruled by these traditional rivals”.

In Kerala ,voting for 140 seats in assembly will be held in a single phase.
