AAP To Announce Its First Candidate List By Month End

As per the rumours, Navjot Singh Sidhu is going to join AAP and will become its Chief Ministerial Face for Punjab assembly elections, AAP may be the first to announce the names of few of its candidates for the Punjab assembly elections that are due next year.

AAP will be ready to declare its first list of candidates by the end of July.

Names for the 117 seats will be announced in two phases. In the first phase, AAP will declare the name of the candidates for 26 constituencies, which includes Muktsar, Ludhiana West, Dhuri, Barnala and Amritsar South.

As per the sources of the party, meetings for the feedback of the volunteers in 26 seats have been held. In every constituency, 10-15 names have been proposed by the volunteers. These names, will be referred to AAP’s screening committee. 5 names will be then send by the panel to the party’s PAC, that will then select the candidate.
