In Amritsar, Aam Aadmi Party will release its ‘youth manifesto’ on July 3rd by Arvind Kejriwal, AAP’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister.
Acording to the sources, manifesto’s main focus will be on the menace of the drug , breaking the supply chain of the drugs with the involvement of the people and education sector that will focus on teachers’ empowering.
AAP’S Youth Dialogue committee member said that drug is the major problem which is being faced by the youth of Punjab nowdays. In Punjab, all the political parties are ‘talking’ about it but the most important thing is to do something with the drugs so that they do not reach the youths at all.
Manifesto focuses on breaking supply chain of the drugs. It can only be done through the people’s participation of , setting up a helpline number will be proposed and complaint authority where anyone can contact and give information about smugglers and suppliers.
According to the sources the focus was also on schools and colleges, teachers and parents a part of this ‘supply smashing’ process
“We will empower parents and teachers to help us in blocking drugs supply in education institutes. Also, the focus of the manifesto is not only on de-addiction of addicts but also rehabilitating them through sports. A big chunk of youth manifesto includes focus on sports,” said the source.
In the youth manifesto ‘Teachers Empowerment’ will be another agenda in the and it will focus on ‘freeing government teachers from other responsibilities’.
