AAP commented about the attack on RSS leader in Jalandhar and said that it has exposed the present law and order situation in the state.
“Demanding an impartial probe into the attack on RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja by a sitting High Court judge, AAP leader Sanjay Singh and party MP Bhagwant Mann said “neither the religious book nor religious preacher is safe in Punjab. It is evident from the sacrilege incidents and attack on religious leaders.”
Singh and Mann gave joint statement and said that the people were forced to live under fear as police has failed to provide them with security. He added that they may have ideological differences with RSS but such attack on any person is highly rephrensible . They added that it was a conspiracy to disturb the peace and harmony in the state.
“Singh added that here is a need for impartial probe by a sitting judge of High Court, as Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe the attack is expected to meet the same fate which earlier SIT probes have met,” Singh said.
Mann alleged that law and order situation in Punjab has declined. Police has failed to solve the cases: Murder of Mata Chand Kaur of Namdhari Sect, attack on Sant Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale and missing of Swami Krishna Nand under mysterious conditions.
He added that what can be a worst failure than this that instead of sacrilege incidents. No one was arrested by the police. In Bargadi sacrilege case two innocent Sikh youth were arrested and tortured . In Malerkolta incident Naresh Yadav party MLA has been falsely involved by Akali Dal.
