“Threatening to make the next Assembly elections a triangular contest” AAP is coming up as a good contender for the upcoming elections in Punjab.
Congress in Punjab is bringing in the leaders of Delhi in Punjab in order to know Kejriwal,Chief minister of Delhi’s performance is the constituencies during his first year term in the office and also to oppose the party.
In Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal is there for his 5 day visit of the state.
Ajay Maken, DPCC president whose”armed with a copy of Delhi Manifesto”have “cautioned” Punjab people to not led astray by the baseless promises and propagandas that are not true of Aam Aadmi Janta Party.
“The people of Delhi are now regretting their decision to bring AAP to power,” Maken, who was the Congress party’s chief minister candidate in last year’s Delhi elections, said while addressing the media in Chandigarh.
Sheila Dikshit, Former Delhi Chief Minister was expected to visit Punjab in order to “pick holes”in Delhi for the development of the claims of Aam Aadmi Party.
Not even a single promise has been fulfilled by AAP government whose term got over by February 14th; it finished a year on 14th February said by Ajay Maken.
In and outside Delhi,AAP government not only “betrayed trust and faith” of Punjab people and also frittered away the money of the taxpayers in order to promote “so called achievements” via advertisements in all the ways and forms of the media.
Maken also added that these advertisements by AAP are “full of lies”,Aam Aadmi Party is taking full credits for the hard work done by the Congress in the past. In Delhi, for the work of development, he had laid the foundation.
Maken alleged that the AAP government has earmarked Rs 526 crore for this publicity exercise even as it has no money to pay wages of employees and pension to widows, handicapped people and senior citizens.
On this issue,Maken had filed a petition for hearing in the Delhi High Court. In court an affidavit has been filed by Aam Aadmi Party and the charge has been discredited.
According to Maken, among the “great achievements” listed by AAP are an increase in sale of liquor, and publishing of dairies and calendars.
If AAP will come into power, it claims that within 2 months menace of drug will be sorted out. In 3 months, no center of rehabilitation has been set up and slowly it is creating a menace too said by Mr Maken.
“If by-elections to 13 Municipal Corporation of Delhi wards are held soon.”Delhi people are waiting an opportunity in order to teach AAP government a lesson.
For raising the issue of the internal democracy,2 Lok Sabha MPs from Punjab have been suspended,3 of the AAP ministers have been accused of cheating and corruption.
According to Maken, Punjab is going through a tough time and does not need AAP at the helm – he alleged that the party took money to distribute tickets to contest the polls as also for Cabinet berth.
Sharmistha Mukherjee; Delhi unit chief spokesperson, Kuljit Singh Nagra; AICC secretary in-charge of Delhi, Chattar Singh and Bhram Yadav; DPCC office-bearers were accompanying Mr.Maken.
