In Punjab for the ‘run up’ elections in 2017, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to do an alliance with Congress if from the party the proposal is good as per the Bahujan Samaj Party state Chief.
Avtar Singh Karimpuri chief said that Bahujan Samaj Party is working with ” the sole agenda of uprooting the ruling SAD-BJP alliance from state politics and could come on board with Congress.”
Capt Amarinder Singh former Chief Punjab Congress and former Rajya Sabha member, said that with Bahujan Samaj Party they would love to join hands and there is any good proposal received from Bahujan Samaj Party’s side there will be an alliance definitely.
He said BSP party has already started work to boot out the “anti-farmer, anti-dalit” government of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BJP.
“We have a sole aim of dethroning the corrupt, anti-people, anti-farmer and anti-dalit government from power” said by Mr Karimpuri.
He further added that till the day the present government is in charge even people are aware of the it that nothing good will come to them. For running for next year’s election parties from all over are ‘strengthing their ranks’. To comment on forming alliance it is too early and ‘fourth coming up ‘there is a possibility.
“Anything is possible in the realm of politics” said, adding that BSP will ally with any party which brings them a good proposal. He also added that for now at the moment commenting about the possibility of formation of fourth front is not wise.
According to Karimpuri the main concern of the party on the ground level is to strengthen the party’s presence and in the state to improve its position. He also mentioned that on the basis of the proposal brought to them, Bahujan Samaj Party will demand seats from them.
“Our agenda is to bring down the ruling SAD-BJP out of power in the state. In such a scenario, there is no possibility of an alliance with the SAD.” The Punjab BSP chief also ruled out any possibility of an alliance with SAD by asserting.
In the political world of Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) can act as a 3rd contender.Karimpuri added that party only is engaging in just making “noises” as they don’t have basis which is strong.
