For the upcoming 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, AAP had released its ‘Youth Manifesto‘ in Amritsar which promises 25 lakh jobs in five years and free Wi-Fi hot spots in villages . A special law for drug dealers has been imposed for ensuring imprisonment.
Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener released the party’s youth manifesto. AAP is aiming to gain power in the state, and for different sections of the society, it will come out with separate manifestos.
“Our endeavor is to make the Punjab youth job creators, instead of job seekers,” the party said in the manifesto, prepared by Punjab Dialogue Committee Chairman Kanwar Sandhu, adding that 25 lakh jobs and employment opportunities will be created in the next five years.
AAP said that if it forms government in Punjab, in both rural and urban areas, will create employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The party has also promised to make the administration corruption-free. “AAP government will launch a massive drive to root out corruption from all levels of administration and restore the credibility of the government of Punjab and the prestige of the state as the pre-eminent destination for setting up businesses, industry and trade,” it said.
It will set up 147 entrepreneurship and skilling Centres, one in each block of Punjab. On agriculture and allied industries, special importance will be given , including food processing, dairy farming and horticulture.
In 10 major cities, Mohali, Batala, Pathankot, Ludhiana, Patiala, Jalandhar, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Ferozepur and Amritsar. incubation Centres, called Punjab Launch Pads, will be set up.
AAP said that it will help Punjab’s youth with the access to technology, infrastructure, finance, industry mentors and market opportunities to convert their dreams of becoming innovators and entrepreneurs into reality.
In Jalandhar, Amritsar, Mohali, Ludhiana and Sangrur Foreign Employment Youth Board with five branches will be established that will advise and train the youth for jobs in foreign locations.
Kanshi Ram Youth Skill University, a skill university will be set up in Doaba Region, with two regional campuses in Malwa and Majha. It will conduct advanced studies for skill development.
In all villages, cities and government colleges, free Wi-Fi hotspots will be setup. It will provide connectivity n both rural and urban areas to hundreds of thousands of youths.
AAP, if it wins the elections, will eradicate mafia raj from government and contracts. Any MP, MLA, minister and their relatives will be eligible for government contracts. Youths will be given preference for the award of government contracts.
