In an attempt to lure more voters, The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh announced the disbursal of dues amongst the farmers within the 6 months of BJP coming into power in Uttar Pradesh. The announcement came during the ‘parivartan yatra’ that was held on Monday. The Uttar pradesh assembly elections are to be held in 2017.
Taking a dig at the Akhilesh Sarkar, Rajnath said that the SP government didn’t clear the dues of the farmers even when they had the opportunity to do so. It is because of the failure of the Samajwadi party that the sugarcane farmers had to go on a strike, Rajnath Singh Added. Goondaraj is prevailing under the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav and development has taken a backseat, said the Union Home Minister.
India has become world’s fastest growing big economy, beating China and yet Uttar Pradesh has not benefited from it because of the failure of the law and order and prevalence of goondaraj in the state. Rajnath Promised to make Utar Pradesh the best state in India within the next 10 years if they come in power.
Referring to the internal feud in the Samajwadi party as ‘Mahabharata’, Rajnath Singh said SP and BSP are least concerned about the welfare of the people. He also accuses SP and BSP of being indulged in corruption during their ruling days respectively.
Rajnath Singh also did not shy away from self praising and said that it was under his rule that the state of UP really flourished. There was no corruption, police had stopped taking bribe from the truckers, farmers got their payments in time and he even implemented the 5th pay commission for teachers in the state as the chief minister of UP in 2000, he added.
He also raised the issue of Kairana exodus however he did refrain himself from making any direct accusations. He also promised to probe and withdraw false cases that were registered amidst the kairana exodus.
Addressing the rally, Rajnath said “Jo gundagardi ke aadhaar par logon ke dilon mein dehshat paida karne ka kaam karta hai, behno aur bhaiyon, Bharatiya Janata Party ki sarkar ke aane ke baad, hum dekhenge ki usne kitna ma ka doodh piya hai’ indirectly warning the culprits responsible for the kairana exodus and promising prompt investigation and action the matter.
BJP also raised the slogan that said “Ma behno ki aan mein, BJP maidan mein” during their ‘parivartan yatra’ and assured protection to women right and empowerment.
