Shah Hints at Reaping Mathura And Kairana In UP 2017 Election Campaigns

Amit shah on Kairana and mathura issue

Amit Shah, BJP president emphasised on the issue of Mathura’s violence ; land-grab incidents and the migration of the Hindus from Kairana are shows that the BJP is planning “to use these incidents as twin emotive issues.

In Allahabad, while addressing at BJP national executive meet, Shah made it very clear that BJP’s wants the opinion of the public in  favour of BJP , and to take the  power from Mulayam Singh Yadav-Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party (SP) government.

BJP’s idea is to portray the party as the challenger to Samajwadi Party in the upcoming 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, and in a way drag down Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to third position.

By discussing up the incidents like Mathura, Shah highlighted the illegal land-grab attempts in Uttar Pradesh , under the rule of political parties, the criminals were so confident , they ignored the consequences before getting involved in violent clashes with the police , where 24 people were killed , including two police officers , the SP and SHO.

This helped the BJP to establish a narrative that the SP “protects the goons, land grabbers and gun runners”.

BJP had recently launched a digital platform where a victim or a oppressed person can send an email about any such land grab incident, and they can send the party workers to the location to fight on behalf of people of the area. In this way, party can keep their “ground workers engaged” and start the early “mobilization of public opinion.”
