Mayawati said that Amit Shah BJP’s Chief “childish” remarks shows that how BJP is scared of BSP for the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Amit Shah had “ needled Mayawati on desertions in BSP”.
Mayawati, supremo of BSP smacked out at Shah, saying the BJP at the Centre should have imposed President’s rule in the state, in order to fullfil its promise of improving law and order in Uttar Pradesh but it “failed” to fulfil its “constitution obligation”.
“Our growing base has made BJP nervous so much so that its president Amit Shah is making childish remarks on Uttar Pradesh’s law and order situation and not taking any action,” Mayawati said at a press conference Lucknow.
Amit Shah said that the way in which leaders of BSP are leaving the party , during the time of the upcoming elections, Mayawati will be the only person left in BSP.
It was Mayawati’s fourth spontaneous press conference in a time of less than a fortnight which had led her political opponents to claim that “the desertions BSP” have left her nervous.
Mayawati said that Akhilesh Yadav’s SP government had failed to control crime, Shah has been saying that law and order is “a state subject” and Barack Obama, US President is not going to set things right.
She added that NDA government at the Centre has failed to perform its constitutional obligations and added that President’s rule imposition in Uttar Pradesh is the only solution.
“Amit Shah’s remarks are not only childish, they are irresponsible,” she said, targeting the BJP chief who is going hammer and tongs at both ruling Samajwadi Party and main opposition BSP in the state in the build to the Assembly polls due next year.
In Uttar Pradesh, during the recent meetings for the upcoming Assembly elections in 2017, Shah, BJP chief accused SP and BSP of giving a prop to UPA government, then at the Centre for 10 years.
Mayawati mocked Shah for giving expressions like “jungle raj, goonda raj” in U.P and “just doing nothing” and said that but what had happened, it has failed to perform its constitutional duties.
With continous setbacks to BSP in last fortnight, Swami Prasad Maurya and RK Chaudhary ,senior leaders and once close confidants of Mayawati had quit the party and accused her of auctioning tickets for the upcoming Assembly elections, while ignoring Kanshi Ram’s ideology and running the organization like her “private real estate company”.
Maurya belongs to other backward caste and Chaudhary is a Dalit, two of them are important “Vote banks of BSP”.
